Idea - High scores list
Hey all,
I was considering the possibility of keeping a high scores table for board and card game performance. It's a chance to turn your name into a legend . At the very least, I can think of 2 games which allow for high score purposes - Arkham Horror (the instruction manual denotes a method of scoring) and Dominion (via highest victory point tally at the end of the game). Is anyone interested in implementing this for the club?

The only problem I can see off the bat is that it would then make these games a lot more competitive. The over-all goal I get from Gamer Brigade, is just to be there and have fun, with-out worrying that some people play better than others.

Very true. I think it works well in Arkham Horror because it's a co-op style board game, so a group of people can take it up as a challenge.
For reference, it would go something like this (scores from previous casual AH games)
2 Player Classic:
13 points
Jared Parker and Matt Crawford
3 Player Classic + Lurker at the Threshold:
18 points
Jared Parker, Jeff Walker, and Matt Crawford

I could see it more for Arkham Horror than for Dominion, but I agree with Kyle that you it should be kept really casual. More of a "jot down your score at the end and share with your friends" thing rather than a "get together your crack team and try to beat the high score" thing.
On an unrelated note, I'm putting together a crack team and I am still in need of a wheel man and an explosives expert.
