SW:ToR Beta

Has anyone else had a chance to try Star Wars: The Old Republic yet? My roommate got into the closed beta, and I'm fairly impressed by it so far, even as someone who normally isn't a huge MMO fan. My biggest problem with it so far is actually that it would be a great game, even without the MMO aspect.

Can't wait for the real release! Imperial Agent, here I come.

I'm really looking forward to ToR. I think you are outvoted for mains though Lucas. I think most of GB is going light side. I was one of the few proud champions of the Sith.

I am pre-registered, but haven't gotten any beta yet... sadly.

Looks like it's just you and me on the Imperial side for now, then. Luckily, Agent works as DPS and/or support/healer, which should work great with your tank!

For the Beta, I actually played as an Imperial, but was pushing for Light Side on the alignment scale. The fact that you aren't forced to be completely evil and bloodthirsty just because you work for the Imperials was kind of an unexpected treat, and I'm really curious to see how/if it will effect the plot of the game.

What are they odds that a Jedi can be cruel and bloodthirsty then?

I'm not sure if it's as lenient with force classes, but I would assume so from the mechanics I've seen.

BTW, as soon as it has servers lists available, make sure to post what server people are looking at. I have (at least) 2 other groups of friends who want to get it as well and I'd love to get everyone on the same server if possible.

Hey, has anyone been able to get into their new much larger betas? I haven't and IT IS DRIVING ME MAD!

So apparently there is some guild pre-reg stuff you can do. Is anyone else interested in going Empire outside of Sprinkle? I have a few groups of people that have talked about playing, so I'm just curious who I'm going to get a full play group with.

I think that I am going Republic with a large group of my friends. That said, I really would rather have my main be a SITH JUGGERNAUT. I'm part of a Republic guild because my friends all wanted to be Republic. Of course most of them are now not sure if they are playing... So I might get my wish.

I think they entered the stage of putting guilds on servers now.

You can set guilds up if you have a pre-ordered copy and you have to get either 8 or 10 people signed up to get it put together. I'm waiting on signing up for a server until I know where other people are playing. I want to go Imperial Agent still, and I want to be on a non-PVP server, that's about where I'm at.
